3rd GRADUATION CEREMONY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DODOMA (UDOM)

The University of Dodoma (UDOM) is pleased to announce its third Graduation Ceremony to be held on Wednesday 21^st (for College of Education, College of Natural and Mathematical Sciences, College of Informatics and Virtual Education, College of Earth Sciences and College of Health Sciences) and on Thursday 22^nd November (for College of Humanities and Social Sciences), at the Chimwaga Complex in Dodoma. On each day, the ceremony will start at 1:30p.m and will be for all candidates who successfully completed their studies and qualified for the certificates, Diploma and Degree awards of the University of Dodoma for the academic year 2011/2012. The graduation ceremony will be preceded by the 3^rdConvocation and Academic Prizes Awarding Ceremony that will be held on Tuesday 20^thNovember 2012 in the Chimwaga Hall.

1. Participation in the Graduation Ceremony

Graduands should confirm their intention to participate between 1^st to 15^th November 2012 through their respective School Deans. All masters and PhD graduands should confirm through the Directorate of Graduate Studies.

Graduands should pay Tshs. 45,000/= for borrowing the academic gowns, of which Tshs. 25000/= is non-refundable. The remaining 20,000/= deposit will be refunded upon return of the academic gown.

Payment must be made through CRDB Bank Ltd Account: UDOM Central Administration (CRDB)-0150221567400. Bank deposit slips should be submitted during gown collection from the respective College. Note that late confirmation will not be accepted.

The gown shall be collected from the respective Colleges from 10a.m on the 19^th and 20^thNovember 2012. All gowns should be returned before the end of the fifth day after the graduation ceremony. A penalty of Tshs 10,000/= per day will be charged for late return of the graduation gown.

2. Rehearsal

All graduands who will attend the ceremony shall have to participate in the rehearsal that will be held at the Chimwaga Building Complex on 21^st November 2012 at 8:00a.m and on 22^nd November 2012 8:00a.m for the two graduating batches respectively, respectively. Attendance to the rehearsal is mandatory for all granduands who intend to participate in the Graduation Ceremonies.

NOTE:

Those graduands who would not participate in the rehearsal will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony; instead, the award will be conferred in absentia.

All graduands are required to be seated by 1:30 p.m. Graduands arriving later than the specified time will not be allowed to enter the GRADUATION Venue.

All graduands will meet their own travel, lodging and incidental expenses.
